Oligoscan Mineral Testing and Nutritional Consultation

On-Site Mineral and Heavy Metal Testing

This revolutionary test developed and widely used in Europe can determine the presence and levels of 20 minerals and 14 heavy metals. What’s unique about this test as compared to other forms of testing such as blood, hair, urine, or stool is that it measures intracellular (inside the cell) levels of these metals and minerals while the other tests are useful in measuring extracellular levels (outside the cell.) Thus, this test gives a 3-dimensional view of the minerals available in your body, as well as the heavy metal toxicity content.

This test uses a technology called spectrophotometry.  This method utilizes light to measure the density of elements inside a substance or membrane. The technology itself is not new and has been used in scientific and industrial laboratories for a long time and for many purposes (NASA uses spectrophotometry to understand the contents of distant stars and planets). What is unique with Oligoscan is that the technology has been specifically adapted to be used on people. This is NOT meridian or energetic assessment testing. Those are a different technology and are useful for other purposes.

The Oligoscan is non-invasive, pain free, and very convenient. The light is placed on the palm of the hand to obtain the readings. Once this is done, the results are obtained in less than 1 minute.

A list of your current supplements is also very helpful, or you can bring them with you. The test can be performed on anyone over 13 years of age and greater than 80 lbs in weight.  The only contraindications include rash, tattoos, or major scars on the palms of the hand. No creams or lotions on hands immediately before the test.
